PERFORMANCE RECOGNITION PROGRAM
LOLA
To incentivize our families to become involved in organized dog sports and activities, and because our puppies are bred to be companions and also enjoy performing in a “job” you select for them, we will provide a Recognition Award of $100for the first AKC title earned by your pup/dog and $100 for the second AKC title earned in a different activity/sport for a potential total of $200. To qualify for the award, titles will need to be earned before the dog's fourth birthday. Awards will be granted upon notification from you and verification through the AKC.
We designed this unique program to encourage new owners to train their pup in one or more sports/ activities with the goal of achieving an AKC title. Bernese Mountain Dogs are a working breed, and they thrive on the attention of and close bond with their people. We believe that training for a sport or activity is an excellent way to establish a solid relationship with your pup. Berners love to work and training them to perform a “job” is one of the most wonderful ways to build a strong bond with them.
The American Kennel Club (AKC) offers many companion and performance titling opportunities. Some are more involved, such as agility, rally, obedience, tracking, dock-diving. Some rely on the natural instincts of the dog e.g., herding, fetch, barn hunt while others focus on developing general good manners e.g., canine good citizen, and therapy dog. The AKC offers countless activities/sports to choose from. These listed links are the activities that will qualify for our PERFORMANCE RECOGNITION PROGRAM:
